My daughters regimen is quite simple…it focuses on two issues concerning her hair
1. the dry spot at the back of her head
2. the little fuzz balls her hair collects that cause knots
CURRENT REGIMEN
CURRENT HAIR LENGTH
Length at 8 months old

- Prepoo: I usually just put some evoo in her hair an hour or so before I wash it
- Shampoo: I shampoo her hair once a week or every other week with african black soap (either the chunks or the liquid one I made by simply putting the chunks in a bottle and adding water to it)
- Detangling: Then section by section I use a wide tooth comb to comb it out, and after that i use a fine tooth comb which helps really get out all the little knots and fuzz balls out of her hair that were left behind after shampooing *important* i always detangle from the ends of her hair and work my way up to the root ensuring that it doesn’t get even more tangled
- Oiling: Then section by section I take some Eli’s Shea Hair/Scalp Butter or raw unrefined shea butter in the palm of my hand and rub it to soften it up a little then add a few drops of evoo to it and rub it together (should turn nice and a little creamy) then I apply it to her hair and braid it…i repeat this to each section which is usually anywhere between 4-8 sections
- Styling: to style her hair I do the same thing I do to define my curls. I usually do Method #1 in her hair but if I’m out of Eli’s Shea Moisturizer I’ll use Method #2 (click here for details). I try not to pull on the front of her hair and I never do anything tight.
